Clinton Elementary announced several upcoming events and school updates for the weeks of September 7 and September 14, 2026. The school newsletter highlighted various activities ranging from choir start dates to safety drills.
Preschool is scheduled to begin on September 8 and 9. The Clinton Fire Department Tribute will take place on September 11 at 7 p.m. Additionally, the Clinton Cougar Choir for 4th-6th grade students will begin on September 15, with rehearsals held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
Parents can register for parent-teacher conferences on myDSD from September 12 through September 20. An early out schedule is set for September 23 and 24. For pedestrian safety, the PTA is sponsoring Neon Ribbon Week from September 21 through September 25, which includes a Safe Routes to School assembly on September 25.
The school will conduct a monthly lockdown drill this month following the Standard Response Protocol from the I Luv U Guys Foundation. During a lockdown, students and teachers clear hallways, lock rooms, turn out lights, and maintain silence until first responders clear the building.
Other upcoming dates include a Zupas Spirit Fundraiser on September 29 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Syracuse location. On October 2, the school will hold a School-Wide Read-A-Thon in conjunction with the Statewide Read-A-thon sponsored by the Governor and First Lady Cox. Individual school pictures are scheduled for October 6.
The school reminded parents to update contact information and pay student breakfast and lunch balances via myDSD. PTA membership is available for $8, and Cougar T-shirts can be purchased through the PTA until September 25.
