The City of Cedar Hills and American Fork Fire and Rescue are asking for community help following recent fires in the valley. In the event of an evacuation, officials are requesting that residents place their garbage cans in the middle of their driveways, a few feet off the sidewalk.
This action is intended to signal to police and fire departments that a home has been evacuated and does not require contact. The measure aims to help expedite processes and ensure everyone is evacuated quickly and safely.
Fire and emergency medical services for Cedar Hills are provided through a contract with the American Fork Fire Department.
