Mount Mahogany Elementary announced a partnership with the Utah-based FIVE.12 Foundation for the 2026-27 school year. The initiative aims to provide assistance to families in the community by addressing weekend childhood hunger.
The FIVE.12 Foundation works to combat childhood hunger by providing food-filled bags to elementary school students in need. These bags contain 10 or more items, including items such as fruit cups, oatmeal, and mac and cheese.
Through a program called the Backpack Club, students can receive these food bags for free. Enrollment in the program requires only the student's name and their teacher's name.
Interested parties can sign up for the Backpack Club via a digital form. More information was provided in a flyer attached to the school's announcement.
