Volleyball season is approaching at Central Davis Junior High. The school will host Tryout Prep Camp and Open Gyms from August 10 through August 12 to help students sharpen their skills before official tryouts.
Girls Volleyball Tryouts for incoming 7th through 9th graders are scheduled for August 13 and 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Families should consult school flyers for registration details, schedules, and physical requirements.
Other summer programming is currently underway at the school. Summer Band at CDJH began on Monday, July 27. Students are encouraged to participate in various theme days throughout the program.
Registration for summer band is available online at https://dsdgive.net/event/6131. For families requiring financial assistance, summer band scholarships are available through Mrs. Wolf at cwolf@dsdmail.net. Students attending band should enter through the courtyard on the west side of the school.
The school is also participating in the Davis Reads 45 summer challenge. Students are encouraged to read for 45 days to earn prizes and participate in an end-of-summer event. Books can be picked up during summer library hours at local elementary schools.
Central Davis Junior High's main office is operating on a summer schedule, open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with closures on holidays and during the week of June 29.
