The Midvale City Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., according to a public notice published Sept. 8. The meeting will be held in person at Midvale City Hall and via electronic communication.
The agenda includes a public hearing regarding a Midvale City initiated zoning code text amendment to Section 17-7-1.4 in the Single Family Residential-1 Zone of the Midvale Municipal Code. This amendment concerns corner lot exceptions to permit garages to encroach into front setbacks. If forwarded, the City Council is scheduled to hear this item on or after the Oct. 6, 2026, meeting.
Additionally, the commission will hold a discussion regarding a General Plan Update involving Adam Olsen, the Community Development Director, and Wasatch Front Regional Council Staff. The meeting will also include a review and approval of minutes from the Aug. 26, 2026, meeting and a Planning Department Report.
