American Red Cross Blood Drive Coming to Eagle Mountain City

Community members are invited to help save lives by participating in the upcoming American Red Cross Blood Drive at Eagle Mountain City Hall.
Event logistics and scheduling
The blood drive will take place on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 9 AM to 3 PM in the Eagle Mountain City Hall Council Chambers, located at 1650 E. Stagecoach Run, Eagle Mountain, UT 84005. Appointments can be scheduled through the American Red Cross. Donors will receive a Looney Tunes t-shirt.
Importance of blood donations
Every donation helps ensure hospitals have the blood they need to care for patients undergoing surgery, receiving cancer treatment, recovering from accidents, and facing other medical emergencies.

Donation Options
Available donation types
Donors may have the opportunity to give either a Whole Blood or Power Red donation.
Whole Blood is the most common type of donation. Approximately one pint of blood is collected, and the process typically takes about one hour.
Power Red is a specialized donation that collects two units of red blood cells, the blood component most often needed for transfusions. During the donation, an automated process separates the red blood cells while safely returning plasma and platelets to the donor, helping maximize the impact of a single appointment.
Power Red donations may be available for eligible donors with O negative, O positive, A negative, or B negative blood types.

Preparation for donors
To help ensure a successful donation:
Drink plenty of water before your appointment.
Eat a healthy meal before donating.
Bring a valid photo ID.
Schedule an appointment in advance to reduce wait times.

Future blood drive information
If you are unable to attend the July drive, another Eagle Mountain City blood drive is scheduled for Wednesday, December 16, 2026.
