Registration for the 2027 Dixie Junior Livestock Show is scheduled to run from October 15 through December 31, 2026. According to information from Utah State University, exhibitors must complete a two-part registration process to participate.
Exhibitors are required to first register as a 4-H or FFA member before registering separately for the Dixie Junior Livestock Show. 4-H membership is available to individuals between 8 and 18 years old and costs $10 annually, with enrollment running from September 1 to August 31 each year.
The 2027 event schedule includes setup on April 21, weigh-in and showmanship on April 22, a market show and awards banquet on April 23, and a livestock sale and auction on April 24. The show will be held at the Washington County Legacy Park in Hurricane, Utah.
A scholarship opportunity is available for seniors who have participated in the Dixie Junior Livestock Show for at least three years. Applicants must submit their application online as a PDF to djlsscholarship@gmail.com.
Participants may also choose to submit a portfolio, consisting of a resume and cover letter, which is due the Monday of the show week. The top ten portfolios receive a Star Class classification, while first place receives the Corner Post Award.
