The Riverton City Council is scheduled to hold a meeting on September 15, 2026, according to a public notice published September 9. The meeting will feature a work session beginning at 5:00 p.m. followed by a formal council meeting at 7:00 p.m.
The scheduled work session includes discussions regarding a text service, an update on the 13400 S. Canal Crossing Bridge at 2200 West, and a draft of the General Plan. Following the work session, the Mayor and Council will hold an informal meeting at 6:15 p.m.
The formal council meeting agenda includes presentations from Riverton Baseball, a historic homes presentation, and the Dual Check Resetter Project. The council will also consider several consent items, including the approval of minutes from September 1, 2026, and resolutions regarding a UDOT grant for roadway improvements on 2700 West, an agreement with Forge Industrial for the Trestle Lane Waterlines Relocation Project, and a real estate purchase contract for city-owned property at 2646 West 13400 South.
Additional discussion items include the adoption of the Salt Lake County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. The meeting will also include a closed session to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation.
