An emergency water shutdown was issued for 475 N from Washington Blvd to the end of the cul-de-sac due to a pipeline requiring immediate repair, according to a notice from the city's alert center.
The shutdown affected hydrants in the area. Officials estimated that service would be restored by 10:30 PM on September 10, 2026.
Residents in the affected area may experience discolored water. In such cases, it is recommended to run the cold water faucet in a bathtub until the water clears to flush home water lines. Officials advised against using hot water or washing light-colored laundry until the water runs clear.
Water crews planned to flush lines in the area once emergency repairs were completed. Residents were asked to notify officials if discolored water persists.
