The City of North Salt Lake is encouraging residents to host outdoor neighborhood block parties to help neighbors get to know one another, according to a notice posted to the city's website.
The city provides several resources to help residents start neighborhood celebrations. Available assistance includes a $100 Lee’s Marketplace gift card for food and party supplies, a city resource packet, and assistance with reserving a city park if required.
Residents can host various types of gatherings, ranging from backyard barbecues and driveway dessert events to neighborhood potlucks or lawn games at a park. While there is no cost to participate, residents must register their party in advance.
