The Richfield City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 7 p.m. to discuss a proposed ordinance, according to a September 3 notice.
The hearing will take place in the council chambers at 75 East Center Street in Richfield. The purpose of the meeting is to receive public comment regarding the adoption of an ordinance that would regulate the connection to and use of surplus culinary water outside the City limits. The proposed ordinance covers agricultural, stock-watering, and other non-domestic uses, and includes establishing usage limitations, rates, and related requirements.
A complete copy of the proposed ordinance is available for public inspection at the Richfield City Offices and can be obtained from the City Recorder. Individuals requiring special accommodations to participate in City Council meetings should notify City Recorder Michele Jolley at (435) 896-6439 at least three working days before the meeting.
