Drivers in Salt Lake and Davis counties should prepare for several road closures and construction projects this weekend and beyond. The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) and local crews are working on various projects, including ramp closures, lane closures, and infrastructure upgrades, which may cause delays and detours.
In Clearfield, the southbound Interstate 15 offramp to 650 North will be closed from Friday night at 10 p.m. until Monday, October 19, at 4 a.m. In Bountiful, Pages Lane between 475 West and 550 West is closed through January for drainage infrastructure relocation related to the FrontRunner 2X project.
In West Jordan, the on-ramp from 7800 South to southbound Bangerter Highway is closed for nine days due to waterline work by West Jordan City crews. Additionally, the ramp from westbound State Route 201 to I-80 in Magna will be closed over the weekend for pothole repairs, with traffic being detoured onto State Route 202.
These closures are part of ongoing efforts to maintain and improve road infrastructure in the region. Drivers are advised to plan alternate routes, allow extra travel time, and follow detour signs to navigate the affected areas safely.
