Several local schools have taken time to celebrate Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead. Vernal Middle School was among them. “We loved bringing a little color, culture, and tradition to VMS as we got ready to celebrate Día de los Muertos!” shared the announcement.

‘Potential Threat’ On USU Campus A False Alarm

An Aggie Alert indicating a potential threat on the USU Uintah Basin campus was found to be a false alarm on Monday morning. Uintah School District shared that the alert was sent out at about 9am on Monday, November 2nd, stating that there was “a potential threat on/near” the school’s Vernal campus and that the campus had gone into SECURE status with its exterior doors locked.
