Tooele Junior High has detailed its lineup of student clubs and extracurricular activities. The list includes a variety of year-long programs, seasonal sports, and weekly interest groups led by school staff.
Year-long clubs and interest groups
Several clubs operate throughout the entire school year. These include the Board Game/Chess Club led by Mr. Sumner, Hope Squad with Mr. Leetham, and Latinos in Action with Mr. Garcia. Other all-year options are DnD on Wednesdays with Mr. Brewer, Art Club on Mondays with Mr. Brewer, and Builders and Ambassadors through the Counseling Office.
Additional all-year student activities
Other year-long activities include the Jr. National Honors Society, Yearbook with Mrs. Ware, Student Government with Mrs. Rivera, Drama Club with Mrs. Sullivan, and Dance with Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Sullivan. Pickleball is also available all year on Mondays through Wednesdays with Mr. Sumner and Mr. Wirthlin.
Seasonal sports and science programs
Seasonal activities are also available to students. Cross Country, led by Mrs. Allen, takes place in the fall. Track is offered in the spring by Mrs. Allen and Mr. Lewis, while Science Club runs in the spring with Mr. Sumner and Mr. Davis.
Schedule for school intramurals
Intramurals, led by Mrs. Allen and Mr. Lewis, are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from October through March.
