The Tooele Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, to consider a conditional use permit for a Walmart drone delivery area, according to a public notice published Sept. 15.
The hearing will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, located at 90 North Main Street in Tooele. The request was submitted by SGA Design Group and seeks to authorize accessory outside storage within the General Commercial (GC) zoning district for the drone delivery area. The subject property is an 18.09-acre lot located at 99 West 1280 North.
Under Tooele City Code Section 7-16-3, Table 1, Table of Uses, accessory outside storage is considered a conditional use within the General Commercial zoning district.
Public meetings may be recorded and transcribed for documentation and quality assurance. Individuals wishing to attend electronically can do so via the Tooele City YouTube Channel. Those wishing to submit written comments for a public hearing item must email pcpubliccomment@tooelecity.gov or submit them to the City Planner by 11:59 p.m. the day before the hearing.
