Centerville City has issued a notice of a proposed property tax increase. If the proposed budget is approved, the city would receive an additional $369,103 in property tax revenue per year.
Under the proposal, the Centerville City tax on a $610,000 residence would increase from $381.46 to $440.85, representing an increase of $59.39 per year. For a $610,000 business, the tax would increase from $693.57 to $801.54, an increase of $107.97 per year.
If approved, the city's property tax budgeted revenue would increase by 15.61% above last year's budgeted revenue, excluding eligible new growth.
A public hearing is scheduled for August 25, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the Centerville City Hall City Council Chambers, located at 250 N. Main St. in Centerville. Citizens may participate in person or virtually.
Instructions for virtual participation will be posted at www.centervilleutah.gov no later than 24 hours before the hearing begins.
