Black water washed through Chalk Creek after thunderstorms brought rain over the burn scar left behind by the Widemouth 2 Fire. The water appeared black and muddied as rains broke up ash from the mountains following the devastating Widemouth 2 Fire that burned over the summer, according to Fillmore city officials.
