The Little Horse Fire in Duchesne County, Utah, has grown to 119 acres and reached 50% containment, according to an official report from August 9, 2026.
The wildfire, which was first reported on August 4, 2026, is being managed by a Type 4 Incident Commander.
Data from the August 9 report indicated that the fire had expanded by one acre over a two-day period, moving from 118 acres to 119 acres. Containment levels also saw an increase of 10 percent over three days, rising from 40 percent to 50 percent.
As of the August 10, 7:00 PM update, approximately 17 people were assigned to the fire. Total expenditures related to the incident reached $550,000.
The wildfire is no longer listed as active in daily updates. The fire is currently located in Duchesne County and is not near any other active fires.
