Springside Elementary has announced the upcoming 2026–2027 school year schedule and welcomed new and returning families to the community. In a message released on August 7, 2026, Principal John LaBare expressed excitement for the new year and noted that several new teachers and staff members have joined the school faculty.
The school has scheduled several upcoming events for August. On Monday, August 17, the school will host Back to School Night from 4:30 to 6:00. The first day of school for grades 1-6 is set for Wednesday, August 19. Kindergarten testing is scheduled to occur from Wednesday, August 19 through Monday, August 24, with the first day of Kindergarten following on Tuesday, August 25.
On Friday, August 28, the school will host Spirit Day. Additionally, speech and hearing screenings will be held in the library, and a PTA Movie Night is scheduled from 6:00 to 7:30pm.
Eye Care4 Kids will host mobile walk-in clinics in American Fork where exams and eyeglasses are free. These clinics will take place at the American Fork WIC office located at 599 S 500 E on September 8 and October 6, from 9:00 to 2:00. While Eye Care4 Kids usually requires scheduled appointments at a Midvale clinic, these walk-in events provide free services.
