A kindergarten teacher at Sierra Bonita Elementary in Spanish Fork has successfully secured a grant from the Nebo Education Foundation to improve classroom resources.
Kennedy Lopez took the initiative to submit a request for Wipebook Whiteboards to support her classroom's learning needs.
The implementation of Wipebook Whiteboards aims to address challenges faced during CKLA Skills lessons. The kindergarten team previously relied heavily on chart paper, particularly during the first term.
With eight different writing stations operating around the room, replacing paper had become both costly and time-consuming. The new whiteboards allow teachers to leave materials up and reuse them with dry erase markers, which will eliminate unnecessary waste.
The Sierra Bonita Kindergarten team expressed gratitude for the Nebo Education Foundation's generosity. They stated that the grant will make a lasting impact on their learning environment and serve as a game changer for the classroom.
