Brian Head Town issued a request for proposals on September 16, 2026, to secure engineering design and construction management services for the proposed Town Trail Phase IV. The project aims to expand the existing paved Brian Head Town Trail by approximately 1,000 feet.
The expansion project is supported in part by funding from the Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation and has received documented support and potential funding from the Utah Division of Transportation. The scope of work requested from qualified firms includes engineering design, bidding support, and construction management services.
Specific engineering services requested include project initiation, preliminary design with alignment alternatives, and final design and engineering. Construction management services will encompass pre-construction administration, field inspection, quality assurance, and project closeout.
Proposals must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on October 2, 2026. Submissions can be delivered to Brian Head Town Hall at 56 N. Hwy 143, PO Box 190068, Brian Head, UT 84719, or submitted electronically via email.
A selection committee consisting of town staff, elected officials, and other interested parties will evaluate proposals based on qualifications, project approach, estimated time frame, past performance, and cost proposals.
Brian Head Town is an alpine resort community located in the mountains of Southern Utah, situated about 30 miles east of Cedar City. The town sits at an elevation of 10,000 feet and includes approximately 1,400 residences, the majority of which are vacation homes and condos.
