The City of Fairview announced June 22, 2026, a proposal to increase property tax revenue through a new budget plan that would raise the annual tax on a $415,000 residence by $22.82.
Residential and business tax impacts
According to a notice issued by the City of Fairview, the proposed tax increase would impact both residential and business properties differently. For a residence valued at $415,000, the annual property tax would rise from $147.45 to $170.27.
Business properties would see a larger relative increase. The city's proposed plan would raise the tax on a $415,000 business from $268.09 to $309.59, representing an annual increase of $41.50.
Projected annual revenue increase
If the proposed budget is approved, Fairview City officials estimate the municipality would receive an additional $13,225 in property tax revenue annually. This increase would represent a 15.47% rise in budgeted property tax revenue compared to last year's figures, excluding any eligible new growth.
