Millcreek Junior High students will participate in a special Read-a-Thon this Friday as part of a statewide reading initiative led by Utah Governor Spencer Cox and First Lady Abby Cox.
According to a September 30 statement from the school, the event aims to encourage students to spend dedicated time reading books of interest, ranging from fantasy and mystery to nonfiction and graphic novels.
The event will coincide with a Pajama Day, where students are encouraged to wear school-appropriate pajamas and bring snacks to enjoy while reading.
