The Mapleton City Council is scheduled to hold a work session and a regular meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026, according to an agenda published Oct. 1.
The work session is set to begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 6:00 p.m. at the Mapleton City Council Chambers located at 125 W 400 N.
The work session will focus on discussing modifications to city regulations regarding shipping containers. Additionally, the meeting will include the swearing in of Fire Engineer Mark Gordon.
During the regular meeting, the council will consider several items on the consent agenda. These include the approval of meeting minutes from Sept. 16, 2026, and a resolution to ratify an award for the Mapleton ADA Ramps 2026 Project to Century Construction, which includes approving a Public Works contingency of up to 20% for additional improvements, according to Public Works Director/City Engineer Rob Hunter.
Other items for consideration include a resolution for the approval of a Utah County Tourism Tax Advisory Board Grant Agreement for the Union Bench Bike Park, presented by Parks and Recreation Director Logan Miner.
Finance Director Bryce Oyler will also present a resolution authorizing Gold Cross Services to write off 69 accounts from ambulance transports and authorizing city staff to write off six utility accounts and send them to collection.
The public is invited to participate in all Mapleton City Council meetings. While the meeting will be streamed via YouTube at Mapleton City Meetings, the city noted there will be no public comment via the YouTube viewing.

The council may adjourn the regular meeting to convene into a closed session pursuant to Utah Code §52-4-205.
