Former Utah State men's basketball guard Drake Allen agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with the NBA's Detroit Pistons, it was announced on Thursday.
Summer League plans
Allen will join the Pistons for the upcoming NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, which is scheduled from July 9-19.
Utah State collegiate background
A native of Eagle Mountain, Utah, Allen played two seasons at Utah State from 2025-26. During his time in Logan, he helped guide the Aggies to a combined 55-15 record.
Postseason achievements and tournament history
His tenure included both the Mountain West regular season and tournament titles. The team also appeared in the NCAA Tournament during each of his seasons, which featured a first round victory over Villanova in 2026.

Over his two seasons at Utah State, Allen recorded 66 appearances with 45 starts. His career totals include 494 points (7.5 per game), 279 assists (4.2 per game), 164 rebounds (2.5 per game) and 104 steals (1.6 per game).

During his final season, Allen earned All-Mountain West Honorable Mention accolades and was named to the MW All-Tournament Team. His performance that year included 69 steals and 163 assists, which rank sixth and ninth for a single season in program history, respectively.
