Utah State will host Washington State on Friday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. in its first-ever Pac-12 home game, according to a Oct. 5 statement from Utah State University Athletics. The game will be televised on The CW.
The matchup features two teams with 1-4 records and 0-1 records in the Pac-12. Washington State holds a 4-2 all-time advantage in the series, including a 0-1 record in Logan. The two programs last met on Dec. 22, 2025, in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, where the Cougars secured a 34-21 victory. This game will be the second time the teams have played in Logan, following a 46-6 Washington State win in 1950.
Utah State enters the game with a 1-1 record inside Maverik Stadium this season. Under head coach Bronco Mendenhall, the Aggies are 6-2 at home. The program holds a 59-27 record in its last 86 home games and an all-time home record of 171-123 inside Maverik Stadium. Defensively, Utah State ranks first in the Pac-12 in passing efficiency allowed (122.7) and ranks fourth in both scoring defense (25.0 ppg) and rushing defense (148.8 ypg).
Utah State has faced a difficult schedule, having played three road games against nationally ranked teams: No. 19 Washington, No. 17 Utah, and No. 22 Boise State. ESPN's FPI ranks the Aggies' schedule as the 24th toughest in the nation through the first six weeks of the season. The team's four losses this year have come against Idaho State, Washington, Utah, and Boise State, which hold a combined 72.2 winning percentage.
The game will be broadcast on The CW with Chris Fisher, Isaiah Stanback, and Bryan Walters on the call. Radio coverage will be provided by the Aggie Sports Network featuring Scott Garrard and Kevin White.
