The new Grouse Creek Ward building was dedicated on May 6, 1984. According to records from the church website, the ceremony was presided over by Elder David B. Haight of the Council of Twelve Apostles.
The dedication ceremony included a sacrament meeting at noon. During the event, Elder Haight delivered a dedicatory prayer for the building, the land, and the equipment within the structure. He expressed gratitude for the faithful members who provided tithes to make the construction possible.
Bishop Douglas Tanner of the Grouse Creek Ward conducted the meeting. Other attendees included the Oakley Idaho Stake Presidency, consisting of President Rex Gerratt, Robert N. Sagers, and C. Dallan Elquist. Members of the High Council, various patriarchs, and other church officials were also in attendance.
During the meeting, senior members of the ward shared their testimonies. Annie Kimber, age 96, spoke about her conversion in England and her move to Grouse Creek. Herbert Tanner and Winfred Kimber also offered remarks during the service.
The building had been in use since Christmas Day prior to the formal dedication. The ceremony concluded with a lunch for attendees at the school, where approximately 380 people were served.
