MORGAN – The No. 9 Emery Lady Spartans opened the 3A State Softball Tournament with a thrilling comeback victory over No. 8 Morgan, rallying late to claim a 10-8 win and advance in the winners bracket. After a scoreless first inning, Emery broke through in the top of the second with two runs to take the early lead.
