The Sutherland Institute announced its 2026 Congressional Series, which is sponsored by Zions Bank and presented in partnership with the Hinckley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah. The series intends to offer students and voters the chance to hear directly from members of Utah’s congressional delegation regarding policy issues affecting both the nation and the state.
The scheduled conversations will cover various important policy topics, including education and water policy. These events will be hosted by the Hinckley Institute and are open to the public as well as students. The Sutherland Institute noted that additional events may be announced as speakers and specific topics are confirmed.
Sutherland Institute President and CEO Todd Weiler stated that the annual series gives future political leaders on campus the chance to learn about the realities of governing. Weiler added that the series offers Utah voters the opportunity to hear the perspectives of elected representatives on issues shaping the country and local communities. He expressed gratitude to Zions Bank for the sponsorship and to the Hinckley Institute for the partnership.
