The Emigration Canyon Council was scheduled to hold a meeting at 7:00 PM on Sept. 15, 2026, according to a September 14 notice. The meeting was set to take place at the Emigration Canyon Fire Station located at 5025 E Emigration Canyon Road in Salt Lake City.
The scheduled agenda included several items for discussion and potential action. Council members were set to discuss Ordinance 2026-O-10 regarding the adoption of the FY2027 City Fee Schedule, as well as a proposed Code Red Policy Amendment and Emigration Canyon Road Safety Improvements Design Guidelines.
Stakeholder reports were also included on the agenda, featuring representatives from the Unified Police Department, Unified Fire Authority, Salt Lake County Animal Services, and Land Use Attorney Claire Gillmor. Additionally, Jeremy Price of HF Sinclair was scheduled to provide a presentation on the HF Sinclair Pipeline Project and Public Engagement Approach.
Council reports were scheduled to cover various topics, including the Greater Salt Lake Municipal Services District, the Utah League of Cities and Towns, and updates regarding Utah Broadband and possible high-density development. Council Member Cathrine Harris was scheduled to provide updates on HB 48 regarding wildland risks and planned fire mitigation along Emigration Road.
