Salt Lake County Arts & Culture Partners with UTA for 'Ticket-as-Fare' Program Starting August 1, 2026
SALT LAKE COUNTY, UT – Salt Lake County Arts & Culture, ArtTix, and UTA are partnering to make a night out at the theater seamless from start to finish. Beginning August 1, 2026, your ArtTix event ticket serves as your admission to the show and as a transit pass for all UTA buses or trains on the day of your show.
Visitors to Abravanel Hall, Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre, George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Theater, Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center, or the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center can skip traffic and parking hassles by taking public transit directly to the theater.
"We want everyone who visits Salt Lake County's world-class arts venues to have a great experience from the moment they leave home until the final curtain," said Salt Lake County Mayor Jenny Wilson. "Our partnership with UTA makes it easier to get to performances by eliminating the stress and expense of downtown parking, so people can focus on enjoying the experience."

To ride, simply show your same-day ArtTix digital or paper ticket to any bus driver or train host. Ticket-as-Fare is valid on any TRAX or FrontRunner train, buses, UTA On Demand, and the S-Line streetcar. Plan your trip on the UTA website.
