Castle Valley Town is proposing to increase its property tax revenue, according to a notice regarding a proposed tax increase. If the proposed budget is approved, the town would receive an additional $73,666 in property tax revenue per year.
The proposal would result in different annual increases depending on the property type. For a $459,000 residence, the tax would increase from $195.40 to $301.17, a yearly increase of $105.77. For a $459,000 business, the tax would increase from $355.27 to $547.59, representing a yearly increase of $192.32.
A public hearing was scheduled for Aug. 12, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the Town Building located at 2 Castle Valley Dr. in Castle Valley. The town invited concerned citizens to participate in the hearing either in person or virtually to hear comments and explanations regarding the proposed increase.
