A Tooele County man is facing nine felony charges following a report from a home health nurse who observed child sexual abuse images on his computer, according to a report published August 6.
Ralph Albert Vix, 73, has been charged with nine counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, which are all second-degree felonies. According to charging documents, a home health nurse reported to the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office on July 9 that she saw a nude photograph of a child on the computer of a client identified as Vix.
Following the report, police obtained a search warrant for the computer. Law enforcement officials stated that they seized Vix’s laptop and discovered a folder containing nine different images of nude prepubescent boys and girls. One of the files was created on July 9 and was labeled, "REAL SPECIAL."
Vix has not been arrested, but officials have filed a proposed court summons. As of publication, an initial court appearance has not yet been scheduled.
