Utah State men's basketball improved to 2-0 on the season with a dominant all-around performance Saturday afternoon at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum, defeating Omaha 90-56 in the first ever meeting between the teams.
The victory was marked by strong play on both ends of the court and two major career scoring milestones in the Aggies' backcourt during the second half.
Graduate guard Dallin Hall reached the 1,000-point career milestone with a triple from the left wing with 9:11 remaining in the game. Of his 1,005 career points, 772 were scored during three seasons at BYU, 214 occurred last season at Virginia, and 17 have been recorded in an Aggie uniform this season.
Three minutes later, senior guard Mason Falslev hit a triple to reach 1,500 career points, becoming the 14th player in Utah State history to reach that mark. Both Hall and Falslev assisted on each other's milestone shots.
Falslev recorded a double-double, leading the team with 22 points and 10 rebounds. He also tied for the team lead with seven assists and recorded four steals in 33 minutes of play.
Junior guard Solomon Callaghan also contributed significantly, finishing with 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the floor and 4-of-6 from 3-point range. Hall finished the game with nine points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and two blocks.
The Aggies' defense held Omaha to a 29.2 percent shooting percentage from the field, the lowest shooting percentage by an Aggie opponent in over a season, since UNLV on March 13, 2025.
Utah State led for over 39 minutes and held a maximum lead of 43 points. The team finished with a 58.3 percent field goal percentage, including 38.1 percent from 3-point range and 57.1 percent from the free throw line. Utah State also held a 52-20 advantage in points in the paint.
