According to the city, these funds are intended to help finance additional firefighters for the lakeside area of the community.

In addition to budget discussions, American Fork residents can attend an open house on June 24, 2026, to provide input on recent revisions to the General Plan and Code. The city noted that these updates reflect feedback from residents and the council and restore most areas to the original zoning map.
