An emergency water shutdown was required for Jackson Avenue between 28th Street and 29th Street due to a pipeline needing immediate repair, according to a notice from the city of Ogden.
The shutdown affected hydrants in the area and was estimated for restoration at 7:15 a.m. on September 18, 2026. Residents in the affected area may experience discolored water as a result of the shutdown.
Officials recommended that residents run the cold water faucet in a bathtub until the water clears to help flush home water lines. It was recommended that residents avoid using hot water or washing light-colored laundry until the water runs clear.
Water crews planned to flush lines in the area once emergency repairs were completed. The city requested that residents notify officials if discolored water continues.
