Copper Hills High School hosted Bandstravaganza to introduce local elementary school students to the musical opportunities available in middle and high school, according to a September 24 report from Jordan School District.
During the event, students learned about the various instruments used in a band, and some volunteers had the chance to try the drums and color guard. The event also served as a platform to showcase student musical talent.
A megaband consisting of more than 130 students from West Hills Middle School and Sunset Ridge Middle School performed three musical numbers. Additionally, Copper Hills High School showcased its jazz band, marching band, and color guard to the visiting students.
The event was designed to provide future students with musical examples to aspire to as they begin their own musical journeys.
