The five-time All-American holds the Utah record for career punt return yards with 1,092. During his first professional season, Covey returned 33 punts for 308 yards and 10 kickoffs for 206 yards.
Eagles quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson also appeared in the game. Johnson, who was the winningest quarterback in Utah history with 26 wins from 2004-08, previously served as a quarterbacks coach for Kyle Whittingham from 2010-13 and as an offensive coordinator during his final two seasons there.
On the Kansas City side, defensive quality control coach Alex Whittingham participated in the game. A former Utah walk-on linebacker who played 45 games for the Utes from 2014-17, Whittingham was in his fifth season on the Chiefs' staff and was part of the organization during their Super Bowl LIV victory.
In other professional news, former Utah quarterback Tyler Huntley, playing for the Baltimore Ravens, participated in the Pro Bowl Games. Huntley recorded four touchdown passes and 192 passing yards during the event.
