The Summit County Council has announced a volunteer opportunity for one individual to serve on the Summit County RAP Recreation Committee.
The committee is responsible for reviewing recreation grant requests and forwarding funding recommendations to the County Council.
According to the announcement, the committee will be active during October and November. Members are expected to spend approximately eight hours in total on committee duties.
Responsibilities include individually reviewing and scoring applications using a rubric, followed by participation in a two-hour in-person meeting to determine final funding recommendations.
Pursuant to Code, this vacancy is being published following the expiration of a current member's term. Eligible members, including two term expired members, may reapply.
Interested applicants must submit an online application by 5:00 p.m., Thursday, August 6, 2026.
