Green Acres Elementary is moving forward with efforts to develop a safe, inclusive playground designed for every child. The project aims to impact more than 500 students at the school.
To support this initiative, the school has utilized matching donation opportunities. The Michel Foundation recently provided a $2,500 matching donation to assist with these goals.
The playground project emphasizes the need for equipment that is safe and inclusive for all students. School communications have highlighted that the current playground does not meet necessary safety standards.
In addition to infrastructure improvements, Green Acres Elementary maintains various community and educational traditions. Recent school activities included a Family Movie Night featuring K-Pop Demon Hunters and an Art Club presentation titled Fall Into Creativity.
The school continues to engage with families through reading programs, such as providing copies of The Mouse and the Motorcycle for home reading, and participating in community events like the Green Acres Carnival.
