I would like to take this opportunity to explain a recent controversial City Council vote. On December 5, 2023, I voted against the Affordable Housing Incentives Ordinance. I disagree with allowing triplexes and fourplexes in single-family zones, as putting more houses in places that are not walkable puts more people in cars, which is not my goal.
