In addition to water conservation, Alpine School District issued a reminder on June 13, 2026, that fireworks are prohibited on all school property. The district noted that elevated wildfire risks are present across Utah this summer due to drought conditions.
Protecting local wetland environments
Brigham City officials highlighted environmental protections for local wetlands, reminding residents that it is illegal to place dirt, rock, or debris in curbs and gutters. The city advised property owners to use barriers to control erosion and prevent sediment runoff from driveways into storm drains.
