The Kane County community raised a total of $4,380.78 for the Kane County Care and Share following a recent checkout donation campaign, according to a August 12 report.
The campaign allowed shoppers to make donations at checkout while visiting participating local grocery stores.
The final total was achieved through the generosity of community members combined with a $1,200 contribution from Kane County Hospital. These funds are intended to help Care and Share provide food and other essential items to individuals and families throughout the community experiencing need.
Kane County Hospital expressed gratitude to local grocery stores for partnering to provide customers with the opportunity to donate. The hospital noted that supporting community health extends beyond medical care and includes ensuring access to nutritious food and basic necessities.
The hospital stated that every donation, regardless of size, helped build the final total to support neighbors in Kane County.
