The Grantsville City Council will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. to receive input on several development applications. The session will cover proposed changes to the Moody Acres and Wellstone subdivisions.
Attendees can participate in person at Grantsville City Hall or via Zoom.
The first application involves a proposed plat amendment for the Moody Acres Subdivision, located near 415 South Worthington Street. This amendment seeks to adjust the configuration of an existing lot to better align with future access improvements and right-of-way without increasing density.
The second proposal is a General Plan Amendment for approximately 113 acres near Pear Street and Quirk Street within the Wellington Subdivision. The request aims to change the land use designation from Low Density Residential to High Single-Family Density to allow for increased residential density and design flexibility.
A third application proposes rezoning the same parcels in the Wellstone Subdivision from R-1-21 to R-1-12. This would change the minimum lot size from 21,000 square feet to 12,000 square feet.
Public comments can be provided in person or electronically during the meeting. Written comments may be submitted to City Recorder Alicia Fairbourne at afairbourne@grantsvilleut.gov and must be received by noon on the day of the meeting to be entered into the public record.
