Judith "Judy" Ann Isler, a longtime resident of Tooele known for her vibrant spirit and love of line dancing, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. The 83-year-old former Sears employee was originally from Wisconsin before making Tooele her home in 2007.
Early life and career history
According to an obituary published by Tate Mortuary, Isler was born on June 14, 1943, in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Milton and Bernelle Cerzan Isler.
Isler graduated from Aquinas High School in 1961 and began her professional life working at the State Bank of La Crosse. Following her time in Wisconsin, she moved to Salt Lake City, where she married Ronald Anderson on January 15, 1966. The couple later divorced, but together they raised two children, Kevin and Paula.
Life in Tooele
Isler maintained a long-term professional career with Sears, Roebuck and Company until her retirement. In 2007, she relocated from Salt Lake City to Tooele, Utah.
During her years in Tooele, Isler became an active member of the local community. She was an enthusiastic line dancer and spent many years participating in activities at the Tooele Senior Center, where she developed lasting friendships.
Family survivors and predecessors
Isler is survived by her children, Kevin Anderson and Paula Anderson Williams, along with her son-in-law, John Williams. Her surviving family members also include her brother, Ken Isler, and his wife, Sue Isler; her sister, Jeanine Veglahn; her grandson, Michael "Mickey" Gamonal, and his wife, Sheena; and her great-granddaughter, Mina Gamonal.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Bernelle Isler, as well as her brother, Tom Isler, her sister-in-law, Linda Isler, and her brother-in-law, Dave Veglahn.
Scheduled memorial services
Tate Mortuary has announced that memorial services for Isler will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026. A visitation is scheduled from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Tate Mortuary, located at 110 South Main Street in Tooele.
A graveside service will follow the visitation, beginning at 2:45 p.m. at the Tooele City Cemetery, located at 361 South 100 East.
