Four U.S. Air Force F-35s have been given final approval to fly over Torrey for the America250 Torrey Apple Days celebration. The flyover is scheduled to take place at approximately 9:25 AM.
This event is part of the 2026 Apple Days theme, Ribbons of History.
The July 4 schedule for Torrey Apple Days includes several other activities. A youth breakfast fundraiser will be held at the Town Park Pavilion from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM, followed by a 5K Race for the Apple starting at 6:45 AM at the corner of 100 W. Center Street.
Other scheduled events for Saturday include the Main Street Apple Days Parade from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, a car show at the LDS Church Lot, and a local vendor market and food truck event at the Town Park between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Additionally, an Apple Derby will run from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM along the canal from the Trading Post to the Big Apple.
Due to extreme fire conditions, the previously scheduled fireworks presentation for Saturday has been cancelled.
The Apple Days celebration continues through the weekend. On Friday, July 3, events include a community dinner at the Town Park Pavilion and a patriotic program at the LDS Chapel. Sunday, July 5, will feature an America250 community ice cream social at the Town Park Pavilion starting at 12:30 PM.
