The Moab City Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing on Oct. 22, 2026, to discuss the draft City of Moab Ordinance 2026-21. According to an October 7 statement, the hearing will focus on an updated annexation policy plan and future annexation maps.
The proposed ordinance seeks to adopt an updated annexation policy plan, a future annexation boundary map, and an anticipated land use of future annexation area map. These documents would serve as Appendix C of the City of Moab General Plan.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at approximately 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Moab City Offices, located at 217 East Center Street in Moab, Utah.
The public is invited to review and inspect all available information regarding the proposal at the Moab City Offices. Information is available during regular office hours, which are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday. This review period continues until Oct. 22, 2026.
Interested parties may present oral or written testimony to the Moab City Planning Department at the scheduled meeting time and place. For individuals requiring special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Recorder's Office must be notified at least three working days before the meeting.
