South Weber Elementary is preparing for Spirit Week and a PTA Bubble Run Fundraiser to celebrate the school's 50th anniversary, according to a notice from the South Weber Elementary PTA.
During the Bubble Run held during first recess on Friday, students will collect pledges to support school activities. The PTA stated that 100% of funds raised will benefit students through field trips, student clubs, Reading Week, Spirit Week, STEM Night, assemblies, and teacher appreciation. Parents are invited to attend the run during first recess and bring bubble wands to blow bubbles for the students.
The school is also requesting volunteers and donations for a cake walk at the Fall Fest. Requested donations include 2 L of soda and individually wrapped desserts such as cupcakes, brownies, or cookies, which are to be dropped off in the 3-6 office by Sept. 18.
The Fall Fest is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 18, from 5–7 p.m. and will feature laser tag, inflatables, food trucks, and games.
