The 2026 Annual Mayor's Benefit Golf Invitational has been announced for May 8, 2026, at the Oquirrh Hills Golf Course. This upcoming event marks the first tournament for Mayor Manzione as Mayor.
Proceeds from the tournament are designated to benefit local youth recreation programs and leadership scholarships.
The tournament features several sponsors, including title sponsor Chartway Credit Union. Other contributors include breakfast sponsor Denny's, lunch sponsor ACE Disposal, and drink and snack sponsor Mountain West Medical Center. Prize sponsors for the 2026 event include The Hills Pro Shop, Goldenwest Health Insurance, Tooele Motor Company, Habitat for Humanity, and Wheelless.
In addition to the tournament, Tooele City is seeking nominations for the Oquirrh Hills Golf Course Walk of Fame. Individuals with strong ties to the course who have made a lasting impact as players, coaches, volunteers, staff members, or community supporters may be nominated for recognition on the Legends Bridge. Nominations must be submitted by April 20, 20 6, to be considered for the 2026 season.
The tournament follows a history of successful fundraising, including the 2025 event which raised over $20,000. Past proceeds have supported various organizations such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake – Tooele Club, the Tooele Education Foundation, and the Oquirrh Hills Junior Golf Program.
