The Salt Lake County Election Division released a notice on August 21 regarding the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) for the 2026 General Election. The election is scheduled for November 3, 2026.
The notice details several races appearing on the ballot, including federal congressional seats for US House districts 1 and 4. Candidates for US House District 1 include Democrat Ben McAdams, Republican Riley Owen, Libertarian Jesse West, and Unaffiliated Elias Henry Montgomery. Candidates for US House District 4 include Democrat Jonny Larsen, Republican Mike Kennedy, Libertarian Taylor Wright, and Unaffiliated Steven Burt.
State-level races include various positions in the Utah State Senate and State House. The ballot also includes several county and local judicial positions, such as the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and municipal justice courts in Riverton, Salt Lake City, Draper, and Alta. Additionally, ballot measures include a Salt Lake County bond and a Sandy City bond.
According to the notice, all ballots must be received by the Clerk’s Office by 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3. If submitted by mail, ballots must be postmarked no later than 12:01 a.m. on November 3 in the voter's local time zone.
